Do you just want to hear about sneezing and nothing else, or do you also like there to be a story along with the sneezing as well?
Shayla
Yes definately want a story, it doesn't have to be too in depth though. And I don't really like those stories that go on forever but only have a few sneezes.
SusieQusie
I don't know, for me...I kinda like the story, so long as the story is actually possible. No offense to all of you fantasy fiction writers...it's just that it can be sorta hard for me to thoroughly enjoy a story (especially if it's fetish fiction) if it doesn't make sense to me, or I can't accept what is happening in it. Just my personal opinion though...please, no jumping down my throat. bleh.gif

I also agree with Kythe here too smile.gif

In my humble opinion too many sneeze stories (at least the ones I have seen)
are written as if it were porn: the first sneeze happens after 3 lines. And every
three sentences new sneezes appear, each next one even louder and bigger than the previous one.

I believe a good story should be written as if it were a sneeze:
first some breath-taking build-up --- something that is written in a way that it
immediately captures your attention and rouses curiosity beyond
control --- only then to erupt in an astonishing release (or multiple ones wink.gif )

Big surprise. I picked story. bleh.gif

The story is Sooooo much the thing for me that if a female story is written by an author that has that "je ne sey crois" I will read and am able to enjoy (for story element),

On the other hand if there is a male story where I find the writing style horrid it is a total turn off.

I don't mind waiting for the sneezing. Just set it up right and make it worth the wait. wink_kiss.gif

Hell.... you need to have SOME characters.... otherwise ... how would you know who is sneezing!?

I'm right there with Kythe. If all I wanted was sneezing, I could really just repeatedly type "Achoo". Or, you know, listen to a .wav or something. A good story makes the sneezing so much more desirable: you know the characters, you know the situation, you have a whole setting for your little fantasy right there. And, if it's well-written, then you get a fantasy /and/ an enjoyable read.

A story is definitely called for, but to quote Kythe, it really doesn't have to be too deep. I'm usually there mostly for the sneezing scenarios; if I wanted a novel I'd be looking somewhere else.

Story. Gotta have a story, or I won't read it. Period.

I can almost fully agree to that i'm so lazy bleh.gif

Anyway to say myself a bit. I of course i like sneezing stories because there are sneezes in it but without a story .... uhmm.. well i wouldn't call it storie anymore then it as said before it hasn't to be a deep story with deep charachter delvelopment and stuff (somehow this reminds me of some grammar and spelling thread tonguesmiley.gif) but i have to like to read the storry if ther only stands he sneezes atcho and she sneezes hetchoo it's no fun for me (well there might be a few exceptions ... blushing.gif but nvm.... ) in generally it is that way for me.
DaylightStarr
It has to have a story in order for it to be interesting. I like the characters to be well developed as well. Personallities, the whole bit. And in my mind, it's not the quantiy of the sneezes, it's how well placed in the story they are.
Bondi
I want both. bleh.gif A good story and a lot of sneezing in it. There are plenty of stories on the now defunct Serotica that had both so it wasn't like it's that hard to come by. But yeah, lots and lots of sneezing and a good storyline, or at least a half-way decent plot. And it should be well-written as well. yes.gif
Panther
Yeah, it is more interesting to have a plot because you get to know and love the characters more. For me, I have to get to know the character before they just jump into the sneezing stuff.

OH, this is kinda off topic, but I'm currently writing a novel that i plan to get published, and it DOES bring out my fetish side. (but no one who reads it and doesn't have the fetish will know that...he he he...). I can't post it here, because A) it's too long and cool.gif i could get copywritten, and that would be bad, but I will let yall know when i do finish it! Until then, wish me luck! I tell yall this because I may just pop up and ask a random question that i need lots of feedback for to put into the book. Is that ok with yall?

I think a good story should be like a sneezing fit. It should begin with a spectacular sneeze that creeps up without warning, and then go on to biuldups for each subsequent sneeze or multiple.

Story elements can elaborate the tickles and buildups, but the last thing one wants is for the sneeziness to go away altogether, as when you get reams of non-sneezy backstory or endless descriptions of interior decoration or characters' thoughts about the state of the Union.

I do wish that there were more sneezing while hidding stories biggrin.gif . That is my favorite kind of sneeze drool.gif .

PLOT!!!

While there *are* occasions where I'll read stuff that's almost all sneezing, I usually prefer stories with a plot. My favorite stories, of course, are ones where the main plot has a lot to do with the sneezing (like a story about one character having a cold and another taking care of him; I write lots of these, and try hard to find ones to read), but given the options of a story where the plot has very little to do with the sneezing (meaning there aren't many sneezes, and/or that they're spaced out very far apart), or a story where all there is is sneezing, I'll almost always choose the plot-based one.

I'm in complete agreement with everyone who chose 'plot'. If all I want is a quick fix with a bunch of sneezing, I'll listen to wavs.

I think the comparison of a well-written story with a plot to a lovely build-up before a sneeze is a very apt one. You get to know the characters and the situation, the reason for the sneeziness, how and why the characters feel and act they way they do in response to the impending sneezes...all of this helps increase the anticipation and tension so that when the sneezes actually occur, they are all the more powerful and delicious for the extra effort put into the story.

I want to offer a resounding 'Thank You' to all the authors out there who put a lot of thought into their stories. It is much appreciated!
